Coming off the success of The Alchemist’s Legend Conversation and after party, we wanted to celebrate a year of growth as well as work with someone that we knew personally. DJ Clark Kent was a name tossed around since Dave Jeff joined Legend Conversation. The two go way back and have a “big brother/little” brother style relationship. Clark is also a master DJ and almost a griot when it comes to Hip Hop culture. In between stories about discovering artists such as Jay Z, The Notorious B.I.G., Rakim, and Nas, Clark talked about his love for music, for the art of DJing, and the importance of legacy in Hip Hop music and culture.
When it came time to end, Clark almost refused to leave the stage - telling the crowd that he would be doing a disservice with anybody in the room left with a question unanswered.
It was proud moment for Dave Jeff as well, who got to present one of his influences with a personally designed sneaker.
This is the best parts of LC, and many times, I just sat back and let two friends talk - lucky to be there for the conversation.
